Progress bar

Macro adds an interactive Progress Bar that shows completion of tasks on the page. Click the bar to expand/collapse the task list and update statuses inline.

Key Features​

  • Auto progress — shows completed vs total tasks
  • Inline updates — toggle tasks directly in the expanded list
  • Expand / collapse — click the bar to show or hide task details
  • Visual feedback — blue while in progress, green when 100% complete

Macro Tutorial​

To add Progress bar on your page insert the Progress bar macro:

Usage​

  1. Insert the Progress bar macro on a Confluence page that contains Action items.
  2. Publish the page — the bar shows overall completion (done vs total).
  3. Click the bar to expand the task list:
    • skim task titles
    • check/uncheck to update status inline
  4. Click the bar again to collapse.

Configuration​

No configuration required.

Behavior​

  • Click-to-toggle: the bar expands/collapses the task list.
  • Colors: blue while in progress; green at 100%.
  • Full-width: spans the content area.
  • Inline updates: checking items inside the expanded block updates progress immediately (no dialog).
  • Read-only pages: works in view mode; you can still toggle checkboxes.
